Event Description

Boston Police are searching for a 10-year-old boy who ran away from his 33 Alveston St. home this morning.
Tobias Chance is 4 feet 11 inches tall, 110 pounds. He is described as a white male of Native American origin with brown eyes. He was wearing a bright blue North Face jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers.
Tobias has long shoulder-length brown hair and suffers from cold-weather asthma, according to scanner traffic. Police describe him as lanky and looking older than his 10 years, perhaps more like a 13-year-old.
Jamaica Plain police have called in units from neighboring districts to widen the search.
Around 1:30 p.m., police scanner traffic indicated the boy had been seen at the Apple Store in the Back Bay. Police say he is known to frequent the Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstores on Boylston in the Back Bay.
In a separate incident, another 10-year-old boy went missing from the Kennedy School today and was found by police, according to scanner traffic.
If you have seen Tobias or have any information about where he is, police ask that you call call Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain) detectives at 617-343-5628.
