Nivasa Foundation is a 501c3 non profit organization, seeking to break the cycle of modern day slavery for women and their children in Sri Lanka. The Sponsor a Child program provides financial support for victims of human trafficking to help them raise and educate their children in Sri Lanka and produces educational resources and grassroots advocacy campaigns regarding human trafficking around the world.

The goals of the event are to: i) raise $62,100 before the year 2011 to send three officers to Sri Lanka in the year 2011 and ii) raise $9,000 in funds to support the education and welfare of ten (10) new children for two years in Sri Lanka: support of one child is $37.50 a month or $450 a year.
