In response to the awesome feedback we got from you in the Neighbors for Neighbors 2008 Survey, last night Jon R., a board member and Chair of the NFN Technology Committee, and I worked late and made some big technology decisions.

We've chosen to:

Launch this, the Neighbors for Neighbors Organizing Network! The first folks who will be notified and invited to join are our Social Activity Group, Community Service Project, and Non-Profit partners so they can set up their groups and familiarize themselves with the new features and functionality.

The big news about the blog is that only posts about Neighbors for Neighbors and our events will be posted. Every member of this network is welcome to post anything related to people, places, and things in the forums of this network. This will make it easier for you and us.

Finally, in partnership with The Neighborhood Crime Watch Unit where I work during the day, and E-13 Police we are launching the Jamaica Plain Neighbors Network where you can meet your actual neighbors on your street.
