from residents, business owners, community organizations, professionals, and
institutional organizations for the Jamaica Plain Centre and South Street Corridor
Transportation and Streetscape Action Plan. The Action Plan focuses on the 2 miles
along the Centre and South Street Corridor, between Jackson Square and Forest Hills.
The Citizen Advisory Committee will be responsible for assisting the City with
prioritizing and developing an action plan for improvements along this corridor.
The Mayor’s Office, Boston Transportation Department (BTD) and the BRA are especially
interested in encouraging diversity within the Advisory Committee, recognizing the
variety of neighborhood organizations along the corridor.
Nominees must commit to:
• Attend all CAC working sessions and public meetings, held monthly for 2-3 hours.
• Communicate to the organization they represent.
• Collaborate with major stakeholders, including other public agencies
Nominations must include the following:
• Name of the individual
• Address
• Email address if possible
• Affiliation to Neighborhood Organization or Institution
• Statement of how you would best represent the neighborhood’s interests.
All CAC public meetings and working sessions will be open to the public. Meetings
