Great idea! Our cats love Cat TV - they "talk" to the birds
Each morning while exercising certain jaw muscles.

Thanks John. I am going to provide a couple of feeders as Cat TV for my strictly indoor cat that is getting bored waiting for bug season to start and he can start chase them around the house.

For the spring in JP you can use almost any commercial wild bird feed mix. You'll get the usual sparrows, but also likely to get chickadees, titmouse, goldfinches and purple finches. If you use sunflower seeds in the mix it will bring more blue jays and cardinals to visit. Squirrels may also try to hit the buffet.

It is the best time of year because of all the breeding plumage. Pick up a Peterson Guide or other picture oriented guide to the birds - or the app on the iPhone!
