Suspicious Activity - Call 911
We have had several complaints about an individual going door to door in Jamaica Plain representing an alarm company. This appears to be legitimate at this time. I'll post more shortly.

I hope it was not over the top that I left a message for the Sgt. on this. The guy I posted about had his credentials and is most likely legit. Like I said, "probably just a pushy sales guy", but his actions were less than proper and it gave me worry. There are quite a few elderly people on my street. Still, know what your buying and do check up on the company before you purchase. There have been consumer complaints before.

I have spoke with our friends at E13 Police and they are aware of and documenting our concerns - as you can see by Sgt. Krauses post.
I have verified and confirmed that APX Alarm is a real company. All APX employees will be wearing APX Alarm shirts and badge on a lanyard with a Photo ID.
Your may verify the person is legitimate calling 800-216-5232 or going to www.apxalarm.com and clicking "Rep Verification" link at the bottom page where you can type in the Badge number and you will get a picture of the rep.
Should you feel a rep is being pushy or making you feel uncomfortable - you are encouraged to call 911.
