Guitarist Nick Cutroneo presents a program of works by J.S. Bach, Benjamin Britten, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Andrew York and Isaac Albeniz in the Sunday Parlor Concert Series at the Loring Greenough House, on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., at the historic Loring-Greenough House, 12 South Street, Jamaica Plain MA.

Meet Mr. Cutroneo at afternoon tea following the program.   

The Sunday Afternoon at the ‘Greenough House series recreates the atmosphere of 18th and 19th century “musical afternoons” in the 1760 Loring-Greenough House, twice monthly, October to May. Tickets are available at the door: donation $15 ($10 seniors, students and JPTC members). Space is limited; reservations are suggested—call 617-524-3158 or email lghouseconcerts@aim.com.

Known for being a "communicative player with natural musicality," Nick Cutroneo is an up and coming classical guitarist of the new generation. An active performer, Mr. Cutroneo has played concerts throughout the United States and Italy. Mr. Cutroneo was chosen to perform Tedesco’s Quintet for Guitar and String Quartet with the Hartt School’s string quartet-in-residence, the Miami String Quartet during the spring of 2009. He was also named finalist in the Hartt School’s 2008 Paranov Concerto Competition and semifinalist at the Boston GuitarFest 2008. An active chamber musician, Mr. Cutroneo is co-founder of the violin and guitar duo Tempo del Fuoco and the New England Guitar Quartet. Mr. Cutroneo attended the Pre-College division at
the Juilliard School of Music and studied with Antigoni Goni. He completed his both his Masters and Bachelors in Classical Guitar Performance at The Hartt School of Music studying with Richard Provost. Mr. Cutroneo was also a member of the prestigious Performance 20/20 chamber program. Mr. Cutroneo currently the Chair of the Guitar Department at the Talent Education Suzuki School in Norwalk, CT. Built in 1760, the Loring-Greenough House, a local landmark listed on the Massachusetts and National Registers of Historic Places, is located at 12 South Street (at the Civil War Monument) in Jamaica Plain, MA. It is owned and managed by the non-profit Jamaica Plain Tuesday Club, Inc. as a historic house museum and site for art and music presentations. The Loring-Greenough House is wheelchair accessible.
