Moved by the silencing of the Kurdish language by Turkish laws, renowned American storyteller Diane Edgecomb embarks on a journey of intrigue and heart to record the last Kurdish storytellers. This is the deeply moving, richly humorous story of her travels through the remote mountains of Turkey and of the extraordinary people who shared their lives and their stories with her.
NOTE: The Sunday matinee will be followed by light refreshments and a talk back with Diane Edgecomb and artist Selahattin Sep the Kurdish visual artist whose paintings are on display at First Church through the month of March.
