Join us for some free family fun at Kid’s Day at the Egleston Farmers Market on Saturday, August 17 from 11am – 1pm.  Kids can learn how to prepare fresh food from the marketing at a cooking demonstration, boost their sporting skills at a tennis clinic, get their face painted, dance to live music, get a free health screening and nutritional assessment, and meet the farmers, food marketers and fishermen.

Kid’s Day activities will take place during the regularly scheduled farmers market, which runs from 10am-2pm on Saturdays through October 12, rain or shine. Egleston Farmers Market makes local, healthy food available to everyone in Jamaica Plain and Roxbury.  In addition to produce from local farmers, the market features local meat, fish, eggs, cheese, bread, hummus, salsa, and baked goods, as well as music, art, and food trucks.  WIC, SNAP/EBT and credit cards welcome.  At Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Center, 45 Brookside Avenue, Jamaica Plain, near the Brewery complex and the Stony Brook T stop.
