POLCE ARREST ONE FOR ARMED ROBBERY JAMAICA PLAIN
At about 3:20pm, on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, officers from Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to English High School, located at 144 McBride Street in Jamaica Plain, for a report of an armed robbery. On arrival, officers spoke with victim who stated that he was the victim of an armed robbery while on the school's property. Victim further stated that, at approximately 3:00pm, he was approached by two Hispanic males who stated, ”Give me your phone or I’ll hurt you." Although the victim did not see a knife, he stated the suspect put his hands into his pockets in such a way as to suggest the presence of a weapon. Victim further stated he then gave his cell phone to the suspects. Witnesses were able to positively identify one of the two suspects. As such, a warrant was issued.
Several days later, at about 11:45am, on January 6, 2010, officers, with help from Boston School Police, located one of the suspects wanted in connection with the above incident. Officers located the suspect at English High School. Officers arrested John Silva and charged him with Armed Robbery.
