How are ya JP? This is Officer William B. Jones, community service officer at District 13 in JP wanting to reach out and inform the women of our community that we are starting up a R.A.D. (rape aggression defense) self-defense class in October. The dates are the 3rd, 5th, 12th, 17th from 6:00p.m. - 8:30p.m. to be held at the Southern JP Health Ctr located at 640 Centre St JP (entrance on the Green St side). Neighbors Night Out in JP and National Night Out at UMass Boston

Good Evening to one and all, Hoping that your summer has been a time to relax and enjoy the beach, picnics, camping or just hanging out in our neighborhood, we're also hoping that you've saved some energy for a couple of events that we're sponsoring. Good Evening to all,I hope this blog finds everyone well. I know in my heart that warmer weather is "just" around the corner. I would like to reach out to the women of JP to inform them that we are once again offering a R.A.D. Systems self-defense course starting this Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Bicycle Safety Issues

Recently, changes have been made to the Mass General Laws which will affect operating regulations for bicyclists and enforcement options for stopping both motorists and bicyclists. It would be in everyone's best interest, motorists and bicyclists, to take a quick look. Opening doors of motor vehicles,(door jobs) making turns with motor vehicles around bikes, officers arresting bicyclists are all mentioned. Please take a look. Stolen bicycles

A quick heads up for JP residents...We seem to be experiencing a spike in bicycle thefts around JP. In the last 30 days, 15 bicycles have been stolen from all around JP. A few of these bikes have been left unlocked, but many have been reported secured/locked to banisters, porches, fences, etc. Some have even been secured inside building hallways.
