UPDATE!

We've really made a HUGE dent in the fundraising gap!  Already from the support of generous donors and grants we only need to raise $2000 more!  This is fantastic because that means we've raise over $10000 in just over two weeks. These Seniors in Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Roslindale and West Roxbury are Still Snowed In

Neighbors,



Last this afternoon I learned that there are a bunch of seniors still snowed in that need help digging out. I know this is a lot to ask, especially given the snow is more difficult to move, but I really concerned about these folks and hope you can help. Break Ins and Porch Robberies in JP and Roslindale

Just FYI, there have been some recent break-ins and porch robberies in JP and Roslindale. My thoughts on it:

At a  minimum, offer to take your neighbors' packages inside when they aren't there and ask if they'll do the same. Or get a post office box to have packages delivered to.

Use rods or window stops (sold at hardware stores) to make it harder for someone from the outside to open your window while not making it that much harder for you to open the window…
