There is currently a proposal to develop a  a five-unit condo development at 71 South St. in the space that is currently a two-family Victorian. This dense development in JP is a concern outlined in this article from the JP Gazette. Car Break-in on Jamaica Street, and what is happening to my (formerly?) beloved neighborhood?

Last night, my girlfriend's car got broken into on Jamaica Street. Jamaica is a quiet, one-way street off of South Street which is generally peaceful and family oriented. The thieves broke in by manipulating the driver's (street) side window so it came off its track and rummaged around but didn't find anything worth stealing. Hello neighbors,

I just read a post in the JP Gazette that said that "community activists" are working to keep the 48 route running. I live in this community and find this route to be a complete nuisance. First of all, it runs a superfluous route that is already serviced by the Orange Line and 39 bus. Secondly, it is a terrible waste of resources. I have lived on/just off… Continue
