Vote for NFN so we can win $50,000

Neighbors,

Late last night a friend of mine told me about a very cool contest by We Media and Ashoka's Changemakers. They are searching to find the best new ideas for inspiring a better world through media and technology. They are looking for business and non-profit ideas and will award $50,000 in seed funding to the innovators who can bring the best ideas to life.

I submitted an application early this morning (thanks to Adrian D for editing) to expand our Neighbors for… Continue

Introducing Neighbors TV

Neighbors,

While down in DC, producing the live video feed from inaugural events (watch here if you missed it www.servicenation.org), I had an idea. My idea is to create Neighbors TV and have you the neighbors, produce the show! It's live right now, go ahead and share something with our community. It's so easy you won't believe it.

To produce a show go to http://www.neighborsforneighbors.org and click on the Produce tab in the Kyte player and type in the code 0213. You'll… Continue

Neighbors,

Every time our nation has faced crisis, our national experience has shown Americans rise to the challenge. While government has an important role to play in helping rekindle our economy and addressing the problems our country faces, President-elect Obama believes each of us, as Americans, has a responsibility to do what we can for our communities and fellow citizens. The United States is once again at a crossroads and that is why the President-elect hopes to use the… Continue

NFN holiday drive not doing so well can you help?

Dear Neighbors:

As many of you know, the Neighbors for Neighbors JP (NFN) 4th annual Holiday Drive will come to a close this Saturday, December 20th.

This year, our project is to raise money to purchase gifts for children who attend JP's Kennedy School. We have also partnered with our local police to… Continue
