Her first recommendation was that I interview leaders that I admire. By interviewing them, I'd learn more about leadership, their style, which will then help me guide me to find my voice.

Please help me compile questions to…

Almost 40 years ago, Edward Corliss held up a store clerk at gunpoint in Salisbury, tried to steal the $15 in his cash register, and then shot him to death before fleeing in a car.

Create a Virtual Gift image for us please and thank you!

Hey JP,

There is a feature here on the network called Virtual Gifts. You may have noticed it on your my page.

Virtual Gifts are meant to acknowledge and show appreciation for someone. They are also a way for NFN to generate some revenue to support our operation.

We're thinking it would be cool to have gifts like a Jar of Sugar, a Shovel, a Hammer - you know neighborly gifts.

We're not really using gifts yet because we need art work that is relevant to… Continue

Surveillance Video from 12/26 Homicide in Jamaica Plain

FROM BPD:

We hope that the release of the surveillance video will help us to get the information that we need to identify and apprehend the very dangerous individual who committed this senseless and horrific crime. As you will see in the video, Mr. Dangol completely complied and did everything right in this situation.

The suspect car is described as four door white sedan, possibly a Plymouth Acclaim (1986-1992). This car was last seen traveling on Centre Street toward the… Continue

New Policy: Approving new members

Neighbors,

This morning, like every morning, I checked the network. What I saw was 10 new members, each of them spammers. They posted blogs to random sites trying to sell us crap.

To help stop this, I changed the settings so each new member will need to be approved. This will take more time, but I think it's worth it to uphold the integrity and relevance of content that is shared here on NFN JP.

What are you grateful for?

Neighbors,

As we gather with family and friends over the next couple of days

service to each other.

At the moment, I'm grateful for the awesome posts people have been making on the network today. Seriously, where else can you learn about a holiday recipe for Tofurkey and see a home made video about Safety on the T uploaded by a Sgt Krause from our local police station?

More crime. Let's organize!

Neighbors, over the last couple of weeks there have been a number of crimes committed in Jamaica Plain. The good news is that 911 was called and BPD was able to make some good arrests. Check out Captain Greland's posts - http://bit.ly/2g7DzK

The bad news is, crimes are still being committed. BPD has stepped up patrols in these areas but they need our help.

Here is the plan Captain Greland and Carolyn MacNeil from… Continue
