Hi Everyone,
The ONEin3 Advisory Council is an amazing opportunity to make an impact right here in your very own beloved City of Boston. The Council meets once a month and tackles the issues that matter most to ONEin3ers (that's the one-third of Boston's population between the ages of 20 and 34), and then Council members get to present their findings, ideas, and recommendations directly to Mayor Menino. For more info, go to…

Legislation filed by Representative Jeffrey Sánchez (D-Boston) and Senator Harriette Chandler (D-Worcester) to revitalize state public housing was advanced favorably by the Joint Committee on Housing.
“Resources for state-assisted public housing are inadequate for the low-income residents, including seniors and the disabled, in need of affordable housing. This legislation provides public housing authorities greater creativity to develop innovative solutions to preserve…

Boston feels like a real city to me now!
That's a big statement, but until recently, I've had to travel to Montreal, Miami, and NYC to enjoy the experience I had yesterday at Figment and I will again later this afternoon on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

30 years into the AIDS epidemic, we know what works to prevent new infections. We just need the resources to reach more people and keep the ones affected in good care.
This year, on the Wednesday-Friday before the Walk & Run, we're challenging ourselves to raise an extra $30,000 so we can reach even more people with prevention and care.
That's a 30% increase over last year for $130,000 total, so we're going to need YOUR help.

School is almost out for the summer, which means it's time to start thinking about summer food. The Summer Food Service Program provides free summer meals to children in Boston, ensuring that they get the nutrition they need when school is not in session. Please help spread the word about the summer food program to Boston parents.

My home and business are beset by the overpowered bass of Boom Cars. I have posted on this before as I would really like to get some community feedback. I've written a pretty comprehensive piece on my blog to outline the issue, what is being done around the country to remedy it and some facts.
I'm really curious to hear some alternate viewpoints and I'm hoping for some respectful, intelligent…

When you consider the hardships of your life, the obstacles before you, the pain you are experiencing or the resources that are needed, what is most difficult? Is the hardest part in your past, what has already happened or led up to this point? Or, is the scariest part related to what is happening right now? Chances are, the greatest…

Thursday May 26, 7-9pm at First Church UU
After discussing what rising costs meant for us and the impacts we were seeing in the neighborhood, everyone…

I have gone to one spot on a number of spiritual retreats for more than ten years. While there I have spent significant amounts of time looking at a wonderful old tree. I have watched it change through the seasons, each season highlighting different colors and aspects of this great and familiar tree.…
