We also offer residential security surveys. If you are interested in having a certified crime prevention officer come to your home to conduct the survey, please contact P.O. Carlos Lara at 617-343-5624 or by email at…

Mayor Meninos garden contest winners have been announced, and the Granada Park community garden
placed 3rd in the community garden category it is one of only 3 placings in JP in the entire contest. Come check us out we
are up Chilcott when you turn left towards Boylston in Egleston Square. The gate is locked but you can get in the side gate with a little effort. Very pleased with this showing and the garden looks stellar.

I was just driving on Centre Street and while attempting to take a left on Seaverns Avenue I had to wait while a man and a woman were engaged in a conversation in the crosswalk like they didn't have a care in the world. Even after they saw me they still didn't get out of the way. They finally moved to the left but still remained in the crosswalk engaged in a conversation as I drove by!

Governor Deval Patrick headlined a gathering of Democratic heavyweights and hopefuls in Jamaica Plain Saturday. The crowd was full of party faithful who came out to hear him highlight his accomplishments and second term plans for both the neighborhood and the state. Last night I gave a second free seminar on how (and why) to cooperatively unschool our children in Jamaica Plain. Many parents have shared concerns about sending their children to school and they are justified to feel this way. There appears to be a ground swell regarding this topic and as a result it's time to organize! I will be giving another seminar at Boing! on Wednesday, September 22 at 7:00pm.

Neighbors,
NFN needs your help. It's costs $500 per month to keep our networks up and running and another $500.00 per month for general operating expenses. We have had limited money for general operating expenses for the last two years and so we have gone without, and Joseph, our founder, has have been personally covered much of what was essential. With this said, we really…

My name is Matt Finnigan, and I'm new to the neighborhood. A Connecticut native, I moved to Somerville in 2008; my girlfriend Janine and I wanted to get a place together in Boston. In July, we moved onto Beecher St, with my 5-year-old German Shepherd, Wilma. If you are a regular at Beecher Park, you've probably seen us.
When I lived in CT, I had been a foster parent for
Fidelco. They are a guide dog foundation near Hartford - the only in CT, one…
